[Tradjazz] Special Galvanized Jazz Band Alert!

Dear GJB Fans,

I need your help.   My good friend and sax player JP Alessi of Irigny, 
France, will be a special guest performer with the Galvanized Jazz Band at this 
year's Great Connecticut Traditional Jazz Festival.   JP will be paid for his 
performance, but he has agreed to travel from France at his own expense.   I know 
JP, as I've played with his French Preservation New Orleans Jazz Band, and 
I've stayed at his home in France several times, and I know it would be difficult 
for him to pay his own travel expenses. He's just so excited about performing 
here in Connecticut, that he's willing to make the sacrifice, even though he 
recently lost his day job. With your help, I'd like to raise enough money to 
cover the cost of his flight, which is $1,000.   So please, send your check to 
me, Fred Vigorito, 20 Ledgeview Lane, Guilford, CT 06437.   I'll keep track of 
the money, and present it to JP, along with your names, at the Festival.   As 
an added incentive, for donations of $50 or more, you'll receive a CD of our 
performance at this year's Festival, assuming we are able to produce it 
successfully.   If not, you can choose any one of our available CDs.
