I'm listening to Radio OKOM and it's me with Jerry Graham.

One day, years ago, I got a phone call from a guy who found me in the phone
book. It turned out to be Jerry Graham who wanted info on where to
purchase banjo strings.

As we spoke, Jerry was amazed to find that I was THE Bruce McNichols of the
Smith Street Society Jazz Band, which he heard often on the Danny Stiles
radio programs.

Jerry and I became friends on the phone and I told him of the Cable TV
program that I did. We happened to be taping that very day and Jerry joined
us.

He was a retired NYC police department lieutenant who played guitar, banjo
and he sang. Our mutual love of the older styles of music bonded us from
that very day.

Jerry then introduced me to Tony Bucci, another retired NYC police officer.
Tony sings and plays guitar, ukulele and (chromatic) harmonica.

They each became regulars on the TV program. Tony is a regular on Radio
OKOM (www.okom.com).

As I sit here in my office, listening to Radio OKOM and hearing the late
Jerry Graham, I'm reminded of how full my life is.

I SAY ALL THIS BECAUSE I'M INVITING EVERYONE TO JOIN US WITH THE
CAMERADERIE WHICH STEMS FROM OUR LOVE OF THIS MUSIC.
