I'm enjoying music from the Joe Klee Collection on Radio OKOM
(www.okom.com) and I was just reminded of one of the aspects of Louis's
genius.

On his recording of "Swing That Music" Louis demonstrated his innate
ability to swing when he does almost a complete chorus by playing only one
single note. Louis put more music in that note, with his syncopation, tone
and presentation, than do a dozen "modern" musicians who may think that
they'll get paid by the note.

"Swing That Music" is but one example of what Louis does.
